Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai
A photo i took several years ago when i first time went to Souk Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. I like everything at this place, the architecture, the traditional walkways with roofs and especially the water canal system which for me is even more beautiful than Venice.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
This particular place in Dubai has a whole range of very tall buildings, including the tallest manmade building – the Burj Khalifa – reaching impressive 828m. This session was also made difficult by the fact that I was shooting from a rooftop on a pretty windy day.
It seems I have been shooting Dubai for quite a while, but strolling through my photo-library i never get bored of the views Dubai has to offer.
The very impressive, 2010 finished, “largest fountain in the world”.
Dubai from sea
A photo i took in December 2014 when i was on a trip with a cruise ship around the arab peninsula. I liked the colors that evening – #agameoftones
Burj Khalifa, The tallest in the world
Unless you’ve been living under a rock on the dark side of the moon for the last couple of years, you will know that the Burj Khalifa (formerly known as Burj Dubai) is the tallest building in the world.
Breathtaking rise - New Dubai
When you visit Dubai or live here, you definitely have to try a spot above the street level to see the rapid expanding city in its glory.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Abu Dhabi
Today i went to visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque (Grand Mosque) in Abu Dhabi, which is a must visit. With her white marvel and unique patterns on floors and ceilings she is definitely the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Dubai World City
Dubai, for me definitely the most amazing city in the world. Not just because of the skyscraper jungles and biggest, best… records, but because of its divergent citizens and opportunities.
If you have the chance to access a rooftop in Dubai, maybe for a cocktail or just for the view, take it. You will be impressed of this metropole.
